Darrin Tait Klod, 40 of Erie, MI, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident Sunday, September 27, 2015. He was born September 17, 1975 in Clearwater, FL to James and Kay (Copeland) Klod. Darrin was a 1993 graduate of Bedford High School, where he was an outstanding athlete in football, thereafter continuing the love of the game by coaching the Bedford Youth Football Program and always remained an avid UF Gator Football fan. He had 2 sons during his marriage to Stacy (Tanski); Tait and Easton Klod. He was employed by Chrysler (Jeep) in skilled trades for the past 2 1/2 years and a member of UAW, Local 12. Prior, he worked for New Mather Metals for 16 years in skilled trades, union steward and supervision. Darrin worked hard and played hard enjoying riding his motorcycle, golfing, snowboarding, water skiing, but his best joy was riding dirt bikes and snowmobiles with his sons. His humor was his charm and all who knew him well were forever entertained with his true prankster form a.k.a. the “Big Boy Bandit”
Left to cherish his memory is “the pride of his life”, his sons, Tait and Easton Klod; parents, Kay (Rick Haise) Klod; and brother, Jamison Klod. He was preceded in death by James Klod, grandparents, John and Wanda Klod and Joe and Genevieve Lavalette
A gathering will be held from 4-8 pm Friday, October 2, 2015; at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. There will be a fond ‘memory sharing’ at 6:30 pm.
